Melt Pump for Plastics

This melt pump or gear pump is mainly utilized to eliminate fluctuation of melt flow and melt pressure so as to enhance the homogeneity of final products. It undertakes the conveying pressure and increase the production throughput.

It’s defined as a volumetric gear pump. Fluid flow is accurately measured by the relative movements of externally-meshed cylindrical gears (with straight teeth and helical teeth).

Our melt pump is applicable in process of high-viscosity fluid (up to 500,000cP) in the condition of 350C (660F) and 35MPa.

It slows down the wearing against the screws and barrels and releases the load of extruder gearbox.

Applications of this pump include but not limited to extruding and molding, material conveying and pressure-boost spinning of polymers like PC, PMMA, ABS, HIPS, PET, PVB, PS, PP, PE, PA, PVA, rubber, painting, adhesive, lubricant, asphalt, polyol etc.
