Eddy Current Non-ferrous Separator
This Eddy Current Separator is used to sort out aluminum (Al) and other non-ferrous metals from wastes during recycling.
The crucial part of this separator is a magnetic rotor (permanent magnet or electromagnetic) with cyclic polarities rapidly spinning in a metallic drum. This alternating magnetic field generates “eddy current” when non-magnetic metals pass by. As the feed stock moves on the belt conveyor through this eddy current, non-ferrous metals will be repulsed out from the material stream and be collected. Other stuff keeps moving on till the end of conveyor.
