Shredder for Plastics Recycling

As per shredding mode we have two main types of shredder: one is rotor cutting (single shaft shredder) and the other scissors cutting (double shaft shredder and four shaft shredder). The functions of a shredder include:

• to shred the defected products or scraps for reuse;
• to shred raw material into smaller size for better mixture with other ingredients;
• to shred organic stuff as fuel;
• to shred textile fabrics to reuse chemical fiber such as carpet recycling

A side shredder means this is a shredder laid beside the main machine such as compounding extrusion line, film extrusion line or other extrusion equipments. It's a very handy shredder. The scraps or defective products are clean and can be put into the shredder directly and then be reused immediately. This is kind of small volume of recycling. For big volume recycling we need bigger shredder as well.

A single shaft shredder mainly includes the main rotary rotor with knives, fixed blade, hopper, hopper track, feeding system (normally belt conveyor), motor, gearbox (optional) and electric control system. It works well for wood, paper, plastics and rubber.

When the raw material goes into the hopper of shredder, it will be pushed toward the fixed blade with the movement of hopper.  Cycle repeats until the size of shredded is small enough to go out of the porous screen at the shredder bottom.

It’s good for those tend-to-twine recyclabilites.

This mono-rotor shredder is heavy-duty for huge stuff like plastics, timber, paper textile and tires etc. This shredder is optimized for thick-wall materials such as plastic blocks, plastic boards, plastic buckets, all kinds of woods, pipes and tubes. You will find our shredders are widely used in heavy industries as well as municipal waste treatment.

The square blades are tightly fastened on the rotor. Not like the granulator, shredder runs more quietly at a much lower speed around 60-100rpm. When the feed stock enters into the shredder, it will be pushed by the hydraulic pushrod toward the rotor. The recycled stuff will be continuously sliced till it becomes small enough to fall through the screen mesh on the bottom.

Our shredder is normally put in the beginning part of the whole recycling process. So we use top-treatment materials (SKD11 or D2) for the square blades. We’re always trying to make operator-friendly equipments. You can conveniently access into the chamber of shredder by means of the provided mechanical unit. The screen changing is driven by motor.

A double shaft shredder uses spider coupling and belt pulley to protect the reducer motor. The shredder blade varies as per different raw material. This twin shaft shredder is applicable for plastic bucket, plastic bottle, metal tin, metal ink catridge, tire/tyre, bumper, road barrier, battery, washer, refrigerator/fridge recycling and animal carcass.

In the center of shredder, heavy blades are mounted on both hex rotors. The two rotors spin to tear the feed stock. The use of our double-rotor shredder includes but not limited to:

• Recycling of Rubber
• Reuse of Metals
• Recycling of Electronic Wastes (E-wastes)
• Reuse of Wood Stuff
• Dealing with sensitive materials like memory disk of computer, outdated foods and medicines
• Sewage Treatment
• Precutting of solid waste such as food, trays, buckets, furniture etc.

This quadri-rotor shredder is driven by planetary reducer. The four rotors run at differentiated speeds to make effects of tearing, compressing and biting.

This shredder features high efficiency, low speed, high torque and low noise. It’s good for shells of automobile, tires, plastic products, metal tins, metal buckets, woven sacks, refrigerators, mother boards and cartons etc.

We combined granulator and shredder compact to make the machine space-saving and efficient.

The raw material goes direct into the crusher after the integrated shredder.

A horizontal shredder is used to shred  large sized items with diameter of 250-1600mm (9.8-63″) and with length of 3-9m (9.8-30ft). The built-in hydraulic system pushes the material toward the shaft for shredding.  The automatic balancing system lowers the vibration and noise. This horizontal shredder is applicable to PE pipe, PVC tube of large diameter and PP, PC, PET sheet/board of big size.
